Hello, I’m Ray Thomas, also known as “The Boy from the Bush.”
Growing up in rural Queensland, amidst the captivating beauty of the Bush, I developed a deep connection with the land that continues to inspire my art today. My father’s work on a sheep station exposed me to the power and serenity of the outback from an early age, shaping my artistic journey.
The Bush, with its vast landscapes and untamed nature, has always been my greatest muse. Its majestic sunsets, sweeping plains, and resilient wildlife fuel my imagination and drive me to capture its essence in my artwork. I strive to bring to life the indescribable beauty of the land that holds my heart.
